Obituary for Clifford Cecil Bacon

Clifford Cecil Bacon was born in the town of Emett, WI on October 17, 1949. He passed away December 22, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Pamela Bacon, son Chad (Jodie) Bacon, grandchildren; Carnissa, Miranda, and Bronson, son Cliff Bacon Jr., son Trent (Teresa) Bacon; grandchildren Brandin and Dakota, daughter Kristy (Stephen) Duginski; grandchildren Jordana, Nevarro, and Rhyvon, siblings Nancy (Joseph Jr.) Rohmeyer, Karen (Leonard) Simonson, Linda (Harvey) Ohde, Beverly (Donald) Tessmer, Frank Bacon, Jerry Bacon , DuWayne Bacon, David Bacon, Mark (Janice) Bacon and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dale (Christine) Bacon, Patricia Bacon-Baronowski.

He was the 5th born of 12 children of the late Cecil Bacon and Pauline (Barthels) Bacon. He grew up on a dairy farm and loved telling stories from his youth. He graduated from Marathon High School in 1968.

On December 15, 1973 he married Pamela at the Methodist Church of Wausau. They lived in many different areas until they settled in the Marathon county area. Clifford worked at Menards and then sub contracted building pole buildings. He was lucky to have a job that he got to work with many of his brothers, friends, and even his children.

In 1994 he went on to work as a machine operator at Menzner Lumber Company in Marathon city. He worked there until he retired in November of 2014.

He liked going to truck/tractor shows. He loved watching wrestling and football, westerns, loved playing cards and board games. Any chance he got he would be on his lawn mower. He loved his older country music which included his favorite singer Tammy Wynette. He could often be found on the computer putting puzzles together.

Clifford would want to acknowledge as does his family, the many people who provided excellent, compassionate care at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Aspirus Marathon Clinic, and Aspirus Cardiology Wausau Center. Special thanks to Lori Schutee for being patient and the amazing care you always gave him We will always be thankful for being blessed with your care.
