Sophie Ermeling 101 of Schofield passed away peacefully at Rennes Nursing Home on October 31, 2016 with her loving family at her bedside.  She was born to Ludwig and Veronica (Voltz) Kraucyk on Nov. 14, 1914 in Colorado and was only 14 days away from her 102 birthday.  She is survived by her son Michael (Barbara) Ermeling, Weston, daughter Gertrude (Robert) Slagoski, Weston, many grand and great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Ermeling, two sons Clyde and Russell Ermeling, three brothers Michael, Stanley and John Kraucyk, three sisters Wilma Molski, Anna Ermeling and Helen Midlikowski. Sophie was an avid gardener and an active member of Peace United Church of Christ.  She loved spending time with her family. Services will be held at Peace United Church of Christ on Friday, November 4th with Visitation at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.  Burial will take place at Pine Grove cemetery immediately following service.
