Bernell J. Radke of Wausau passed away peacefully on Saturday Dec.22, 2018 under Aspirus hospice care at Wausau Manor.
He was born Oct. 31, 1935 in the town of Stettin, Marathon County, son of the late Herman and Florence (Denfeld) Radke.He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. He went to Rib View Elementary in the Town of Stettin and Vocational School in Wausau.
On Dec. 18, 1954 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Schultz at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rib Falls. They enjoyed 64 years together.
He was employed at Wisconsin Distributing Co. as a truck driver for 38 yrs. until they closed. He then worked at Golden Guernsey Co.for 10 yrs. until his retirement in 1998. Bernell and his wife were bartenders at Rib River Ballroom for 34 years.
Bernell and Geraldine enjoyed trips to Germany, Norway, Mexico and Alaska. They also enjoyed many more bus tours thoughout the States, including many casino trips.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine, children Marla (Mark) Seubert, Rick (Judy Bores) Radke, Debra Peacock, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one step great-grandaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roland and Henry Radke, sister Geraldine Brinkman, sister-in-law Paulette Radke and brother-in-law Donald Brinkman.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church on Stewart Ave in Wausau on Monday, January 7, 2019. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m until the time of service, with Pastor Zach Holdorf presiding. Burial will be at a later date.
