David Lawrence Neumann, beloved brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025. Born on March 12, 1949, to Lawrence and Helen Neumann, Dave was the eldest of eight children, a role he embraced with dedication and a generous heart.

From a young age, Dave's adventurous spirit was evident. He loved the thrill of speed, whether piloting farm machinery, racing on skates, or cruising on his cherished Harley Davidson. This love of motion continued even in later years, as he navigated life with various wheelchairs. His zest for life remained undimmed.

Dave was a true country boy at heart, embodying the values of his upbringing. His love for country music, particularly the songs of Charlie Pride, and classic Western shows like *Gunsmoke*, *The Rifleman*, and *Wagon Train*, was a constant throughout his life. He served his country with pride in the US Army during the Vietnam era, stationed in Panama. He also completed his work as a parts technician in the military, coming home to work diligently at L&S Electric, and retired in 2012 after many years of dedicated service.

At only ten years old, following the tragic loss of his father in a car accident, Dave stepped up to become a father figure to his younger siblings. After his father's passing, his mother moved the family to Wausau, Wisconsin, where Dave graduated high school in 1967. Known as "Dube" by his father and affectionately called "Big Dave" and "Little Dube" by his family, he was a playful brother who enjoyed teasing and giving nicknames, yet he possessed a deep sense of responsibility and loyalty stepping up to fill the role of father to his younger siblings. His faith in God and the promise of an afterlife were steadfast, a comfort to him and those around him.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and faith. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Julie Helen Neumann, three brothers-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends: most recently losing his life-long friend, Kenny R.

Dave will be deeply missed by his seven siblings, but we find solace knowing he is at peace. His memory will be cherished forever. Special thanks are extended to his close friends, Johnny D, Harvey L, Steve N, Gary M, and Richard K, whose friendship brightened his life. As Dave often said, "What buds!"

A service to celebrate Dave's life will be held on Thursday, June 12, at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home in Mosinee, WI. Visitation starts at 3:00 p.m. with service starting at 3:30 p.m., with military honors to follow.
