Deborah "Debbie" A. Burris, 48, of WAUSAU, passed away peacefully with family by her side on the afternoon of March 2 under the care of Aspirus Palliative Care, after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer.  Debbie was born on March 4, 1971 in Wausau, the daughter of the late Robert and Olive (Lackey) Klos. She was a graduate of Wausau East High School and Kaplan University. She married Daniel Burris on March 3, 2006.   She is survived by her husband Dan, daughter Lindsay Steele (Jon Thompson), sister Barbara (Craig) Reineking, Rhinelander, brothers Bob (Jean) Klos and Tim (Dawnelle) Klos, several nieces and nephews and step children. She is also survived by her mother in law, Carol (Blue) Burris and was proceeded in death by her father in law, Raymond Burris.   Debbie was a beautiful, sweet, forgiving and loving person who always had a smile and a great sense of humor. Family and friends meant everything to Debbie and she enjoyed all the special times spent with them. She also enjoyed annual trips to theme parks with her daughter.   The family would like to thank Aspirus Oncology, Dr. Peterson and his staff for the great treatment she received over the past year. They made her feel very special.   Debbie wanted a Celebration of Life instead of a traditional funeral service. She wanted people to gather in her honor wearing bright clothing and coming with special stories   The Celebration of Life will be held on March 15 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Holiday Inn & Suites, at Cedar Creek, 1000 Imperial Drive, Rothschild WI.        In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions for family expenses in connection with her passing.
