Obituary

Edward D. Crotteau , Schofield passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018 at Atrium of Weston Post Acute Care Nursing Home. He was born to the late Ernest and Myrtle (Pike) on April 10, 1925. He served proudly in the United States Navy aboard the USS Donald from May 22, 1944 to May 22, 1946 during WWII in the Pacific Theater as a Seaman Second Class. Following WW2 he studied cabinet making and worked as a cabinet maker for the DeLisle Company until his retirement. Edward was passionate about working with wood. He married the love of his life Virginia A. (Salvador) on November 15, 1947. Together they celebrated   62 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2009. Edward had the opportunity to take the Honor Flight to Washington, DC on September 28, 2015. His hobbies included; building remote control model airplanes and flying them along with model railroads, bird watching, hunting, fishing, Boy Scout outings, but most of all attending all of his grandchildren's activities and events, they were his pride and joy. He is survived by his children; John Crotteau( Paula ) and Michael Crotteau, grandchildren; Kevin, Robyn & Megan Crotteau, Katie (Matt Schulz) Crotteau, Joshua (Vicki Barnett) Crotteau, Melissa Crotteau, one great- grandson, James Campbell and daughter-in-law Eva Katahira, sisters in law - Lillian Krause & Maribeth Schultz, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia, and son Mark. A private family memorial service will be held. John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family at this time.
