Obituary

Florence Marie Henrichs, 75, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.  Florence was born in Merrill on August 10, 1943, to Franklin and Lida Thomaschefsky.  On May 26, 1962, she married the love of her life, Grover C.F. Henrichs, at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, in Merrill. Florence was a 1961 graduate of Merrill High School.  Florence traveled extensively with her husband Grover during his military career. They made homes in various places including: Texas, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. For several years, the family also resided in Germany. After Grover retired from the military,  Florence, Grover and their children moved back to Merrill to be closer to family.   Over the years, Florence enjoyed many different hobbies and interests. She was a great cook and was also skilled in decorating cakes. She also loved gardening, crafting and genealogy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.   Florence is survived by sons: Timothy (Rhonda Kanitz) Henrichs, Merrill; Jeffrey (Karen) Henrichs, Maryland; and Kevin Henrichs, Merrill. Grandchildren: Holly (Matt) Ney, Jeffrey Henrichs, Jr.; and Jimmi Henrichs. She is further survived by sisters: Mary (Ted) Hagedorn, Linda (Gordy) Ehlers; brothers: Harvey (Terry) Thomaschefsky; Joe (Marlene) Thomaschefsky and Ed (Pat) Thomaschefsky, all of Merrill. Additional survivors are brother-in-law Chet Henrichs, and sister-in-law Linda Henrichs; also nephews, nieces and cousins. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Grover; parents Franklin and Lida Thomaschefsky; sisters Lili May Pankow and Donna Jean Thomaschefsky; brothers-in-law: Wayne Henrichs, Vernon Pankow, Dean Jorgenson and Don Rohde;  and sisters-in-law: Donna Rohde and Joyce Henrichs.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the Eagles Club in Merrill. Friends and family can stop in between 1:00 and 4:00pm to share stories and memories.
