James Robert Markrof, affectionately known as Jim, by his family and friends, passed away on November 10, 2025. He was born on February 15, 1958, to Robert (Bob) and Violet (Stanke) Markrof.

Jim grew up with his brothers Ken, Dave, and Gary, sharing countless memories and a strong family bond. He was a devoted son and his father's right-hand man, always ready to lend a hand and share a laugh.

Jim was a loving father to Jacob and Jesse and a proud grandpa to his granddaughter, Alexa, who brought him endless joy. His family was his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A man of many passions, Jim loved golfing and had a special talent for restoring and building old cars. He took great pride in his collection, especially his 1965 Mustang, 1969 Dodge Charger, and 442 Olds convertible—each one a reflection of his patience, skill, and eye for detail.

Jim will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His kindness, sense of humor, and hardworking spirit will be remembered always.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 113 W. Kort Street, Rothschild. Father Becker will officiate.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Ave, Schofield, with the Rosary with Father Balraj to follow at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of church services.

Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.

Jim's family will miss him dearly, but they take comfort in the many memories and the love he shared throughout his life.
