Jean Marian Wendt, Wausau passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 28,2025 at her home.

She was born on December 25, 1944, in Wausau, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Leo and Marian (Fochs) Volhardt. On June 27, 1966, she married Glen Wendt at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mosinee, WI.

She had a special place in her heart for birds and animals. As a bird lover, she fed them regularly and always had dogs and cats. Her favorite past times were reading mystery books, fishing, trap shooting, she beat Glean at "least" one time. Cooking and canning were always keeping her busy, she was an excellent cook and enjoyed using new recipes.

Jean is survived by her husband Glen, sons Russell of Johnson Creek, Dale of Marathon, Dean of Mosinee and Leo of Wausau, brother Mike (Sandy) and her granddaughters Jaden of Mosinee and Violet of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis, daughter in law Gina and sister-in-law Jean.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday. February 4, 2025, from 12:00 P:M - 1:00 P:M at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home in Schofield, WI.
