Obituary

Joan M. Hoffmann, 90, of Schofield, WI, went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2026, while under Comfort Care and Hospice Services, and Inner Peace Home Health Care, surrounded by loving family.

On June 13, 1953, she married the love of her life, Lawrence Hoffmann, and together they shared 72 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, adventure, and devotion to family. Joan worked for Marathon Electric, retiring after 37 years of employment.

Joan had a passion for life and enjoyed traveling, drinking martinis, polka dancing, and bowling. She and Lawrence traveled extensively throughout the United States, including trips to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Germany and Jamaica. Over the years they owned six motorhomes that carried them on countless adventures with friends and family. She bowled in couples' leagues with Larry and participated in national bowling events with her daughter. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan and enjoyed good food and drinks while watching with friends and family.

Joan was well liked by everyone she met and had a natural ability to make friends wherever she went. Above all else, her family was the most important part of her life. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Lawrence Hoffmann; her children, Marvin (Donna) Hoffmann, DuWayne "Buster" Hoffmann, and Linda (Thomas) Woller; her grandchildren, Shiloh (Tony) Martino, Travis (Amanda) Hoffmann, and Brandon Woller; as well as her great-grandchildren, Coleman, Everett, Grace, Titus, Rhett, Eleanor, and Evelyn.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her in-laws, Edwin and Ruthie (Sigmund) Hoffmann, and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and JoAnn Marvin.
