Joseph C. Andraska, 81 of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home on October 12, 2021. He was born to Harold and Frances (Schenk) Andraska on March 5, 1940.
He is survived by his loving siblings; David (Hazel) Andraska, Bonnie (Jerry) Bonino, Teresa (Michael) Casey, nieces, and nephews Mark Andraska, Karena (Hau) Tran, Kimberly Andraska, Krista (Davis) Pittman, Sandy Lewis, Vicky Bonino, Teri (Bob) Boerger, Trisha (significant other Jason Mayerl) Casey, Ryan Casey, and 6 great nieces and 4 great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Frances.
Joe worked for the city of Wisconsin Rapids for over 25 years in the sanitation department. He was a hard worker and dedicated employee. Joe was a lifelong resident of Wisconsin Rapids and benefited from many organizations that help handicapped people. He was able to participate in a large variety of activities including bowling, bocce ball, Boy Scouts, 4H, and Special Olympics. He loved fairs and carnivals and especially the Wisconsin State Fair. Joe was a big fan of NASCAR, the Brewers and the Rafters, and went to many races and games with family and friends. Joe had a talent for painting and crafts and was always eager to show his most recent creation. Joe was a gentle soul with an infectious smile who made friends wherever he went. He will be missed by many.
The family would like to express our thanks to all the wonderful people who were kind and considerate to Joe throughout his life. Special thanks to the caregivers at Edgewater Haven. You are all angels! Thank you to Father Valentine Joseph for visiting Joe and giving him the sacrament of anointing of the dying.

Services will be held at St. Vicent de Paul 820 13th St S, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494 on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. A gathering of friends and family will be held at 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow to Foresthill Mausoleum. Father Jerome Patric will be officiating long with Father William Menzel co-officiating. J
