Joseph Buska, Jr., 90 of Kronenwetter, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and his two fur babies Bella and Moe his cats on December 2, 2024.
He was born on September 24, 1934, to the late Joseph and Eva (Filipiak) Buska Sr. of Mosinee.
He grew up in Mosinee and attended St. Paul and Mosinee High School and was class president. Joseph later married the love of his life Annabelle (Cass) Buska on April 12, 1958, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mosinee, WI.
Joseph served his country proudly in the 82nd Airborne Division (Paratrooper) and 5th Armored Division, US Army serving overseas in Japan.
Upon returning home he joined his father in the family business Buska Insurance Agency, Inc. He received numerous awards for sales in the insurance industry and was a leading sales agent for many years. His true love was real estate, and he owned numerous rental properties and investments. When he wasn't selling insurance, he enjoyed bowling, winning many trophies in his early years, fishing, golfing, and traveling especially to Aruba his second home.
He is survived by his loving wife Annabelle, his children Joseph S. (Barbara) Buska, Audrey (David) Hubing, Suzanne (Thomas) DeSautel, Cynthia (Gary) Newman, Sandra ( Joel) Straub, grandchildren Matthew (Rachel) Buska, Mandy (Jason) Weller, Kimberly (Neal) Guilliotti, Ashley Hubing, Cole Bruner, Kailey (Jordan) Berendsen, Collin Bruner, Christopher (Amy) Otto, James (Audrey) Bittner, Brianna (Matthias) Knust, Tristyn Newman, Benjamin (Kaitlyn) Straub, Brandon (Andrea) Straub, and 17 great grandchildren.
He is further survived by his siblings Lorraine (Harold) Lyon, Joann (Joseph) Swiderski, Sharon (Lee) Gardner and William (Kelly Jo) Buska.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, his son James Buska, and sister and brother-in-law Beverly (Anthony) Stanke.
Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Humane Society of Marathon County.
