Obituary

Larry H Honeck, 70, Mosinee, WI, passed away peacefully on January, 18, 2019. He was at home, surrounded by family, under the care of Interim Healthcare/Hospice, and courageously lost his battle with several types of cancer. Larry was born April 26, 1948 in Milwaukee WI to the late William Honeck and the late Betty Schmittinger. He married the love of his life Peggy (Margaret Ruder) on March 10, 1973, but has been together for 52 years. During those years they built a family together and made many friends along the way. Spending time with his family was always important to him. He enjoyed school functions with his children such as sock hops and Friday night movies in the elementary gym. Fourth of July celebrations were also a staple in our back yard with our family and friends. Larry also enjoyed hunting, fishing, Ice fishing and camping. Most recently he had a seasonal camp site with his wife, and spent countless weekends enjoying friends and campfires.He was also employed at Property Connection Inc. and was field manager and maintenance for 9 mobile home parks. Larry is survived by his wife Peggy; daughters Candice (Wendell Lewis); Heidi (Tim Hromek) both of Mosinee, son Jimi Honeck and son-in-law Corey Washington. Sisters Nancy Krueger; Diane Morgan; Karen (Larry Clutz); Linda (Bruce Dierbeck) Larry and Peggy also have 13 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by: Waldemar and Betty Schmittinger (mother); William Honeck (father), Father-in-law and mother-in-law Lawrence and Dorothy Ruder. Most recently he lost his youngest daughter Tammila M. Washington who also lost her battle with cancer. And his beloved dachshunds, who called his boys, Rusty and Rex. The family would like to send a special heartfelt Thank You to the Interim Hospice team Jillian, Monica and Tim that cared for Larry. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home 900 Old Highway 51 Mosinee.
