Mark "Whitey" Bushmaker

Mark "Whitey" Bushmaker of Rudolph, WI passed away peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy hard-fought battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rudolph, WI on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Friends and family, may gather from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. with luncheon to follow.

Mark was born November 20, 1959, to the late James and Christine (Lang) Bushmaker of Rudolph, WI.

Mark married his wife Mary on May 23, 1987, at St. Philip Catholic Church in Rudolph, WI. They had a son, Daniel. He loved his family so much and would give anything for them. He made the best, fluffiest pancakes. He would also always go out of his way to make sure others would be taken care of.

Mark is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. He worked on the family farm for many years while also driving truck, before starting at County Materials Corporation in 1993 where he worked until his retirement in 2021. Many contractors missed his work, and some requested to have him bring their concrete.

Mark was known for his many skills in repair of anything with an engine and craftsmanship and his love for his Farmall Tractors, especially his 2 seat Farmall B with a trailer he made with seats that him and Mary drove to church, and so the whole family could go even the dogs.

Farmall tractors were his passion. He volunteered for many years parking tractors at the Rudolph Old Tractor Club show and enjoyed talking tractors with many of the people who brought their own to display. He also loved going to other tractor shows, but his favorite was the Edgar Steam Show, talking tractors with guys up there, and also loved the pancake breakfast that was there.

He wasn't always the most talkative person but would always love to talk about concrete or tractors.

Mark is survived by his wife, Mary; his son Daniel; dogs, Tucker and Simon; brothers Dean (Amy) and Todd Bushmaker; sisters Lynn Bushmaker and Dawn (Jake) Slattery; brother-in-law Peter (Dilly) Britz; sisters-in-law Sue Britz, Lyn Britz; nephews, Josh, Kyle, Dean, Mike and Andy; Nieces Samantha and Erica; and many great nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by his parents James and Christine; parents-in-law Anthony and Theresa Britz; brothers-in-law James and Joseph Britz and sister-in-law Rosie Britz.

The family would like to thank Aspirus Cancer Center and St. Croix Hospice for their care for Mark as he fought his illness, they helped make his journey of Mark's life much easier.

Special thanks to Dean and Amy for their frequent visits or phone calls and advice throughout Mark's illness, it meant the world to him.
