Melissa Joy Khlap Hąąpgu nąąwąwįga Sings Sweetly at Daybreak Melissa Joy Khlap, 44, Kronenwetter, was called home to eternal life on January 21, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center, in Marshfield, WI after a brave and courageous fight. Melissa was born April 11, 1977 in Wausau, to Sandrea Louise Radtke and the late Daniel James Pigeon. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith on August 21, 1977 and confirmed on May 5, 1991. Melissa graduated from D.C. Everest Senior High, Class of 1995. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Northcentral Technical College in 2003. Melissa was a dedicated employee of Aldi for 21 years. Melissa's three children were her pride and joy and she was a devoted mother, giving them everything she could in life. She was also an attentive daughter and had a powerful bond with her mother. Melissa was always willing to help anyone in need and she gave the best hugs. She was generous, kind, creative and charismatic. Melissa had impeccable taste and her radiance could be felt in any room she entered. Some of her favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends, having campfires, playing competitive games including cornhole and darts, and attending her children's events. She also enjoyed decorating, tending to her yard and finding a good deal. Melissa was adventurous and loved travel adventures with her children. Her sense of humor, her beautiful smile and her caring heart will be missed by many. Melissa's loss is immeasurable and we were blessed to have had her with us for the limited time that we did. Survivors include her loving children, Mateo Khlap, Maliya Khlap, and Milanni Khlap; her mother, Sandrea Radtke and stepfather, Keith Hustedt; fiancé, Abed Sughayer; father of her children, Ren Khlap (Emilia); many aunts, uncles, cousins, and innumerable relatives and friends. Melissa was welcomed with open arms to her Eternal Home by many loved relatives including her father, Daniel Pigeon, maternal grandparents Leo Radtke and Mary Rockman Stone, step-grandfather Robert Stone, paternal grandparents, Oscar and Helen Pigeon, uncle Timothy Radtke, aunts Gloria Matha Mabugu and Cynthia Falcon, and many other loved relatives. The Celebration of Life Service for Melissa will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. with service beginning at 1:00 p.m. The location is Buettgen Funeral Home, 900 Old Highway 51, Mosinee, Wisconsin, 54455. The family would like to thank the staff at Marshfield Medical Center for the compassionate care they gave Melissa.
