Pamela Kay Bacon, 75, of Schofield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Pine Meadows, with her loving family at her side.
Pamela was born on March 28, 1951, to the late Verland and Margaret (Meachum) Geatz. On December 15, 1973, she married the love of her life, Clifford Bacon, in Wausau. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Pamela will be lovingly remembered by her children, Chad (Jodie Schmitt-Bacon) Bacon, Cliff Bacon, Trent (Teresa) Bacon, and Kristy (Stephen) Duginski; her eight grandchildren, Carnissa, Miranda, Bronson, Brandin, Dakota, Jordana, Nevarro, and Rhyvon; and her great-granddaughter, Aurora, with another precious great-grandbaby on the way. She is further survived by her brother, Mark (Mary) Geatz; and brother-in-law, John Hintz.
In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Hintz.
Pamela had a love for the simple things that brought her joy. She loved music, watching old Westerns, cattle auctions, and bull riding. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses and dancing. She was a woman of faith who loved her Lord and Savior and found comfort in knowing that her eternal home awaited her.
Pamela was sweet and kind, with just the right amount of naughty. She had a way of getting her loved ones to give in to her, including convincing them to get her that cup of coffee she probably wasn't supposed to have. She had a gift for making the people around her feel special and loved. She was always calling to chat, check in, and hear what was happening in the lives of those she loved. Those phone calls and little updates became part of the rhythm of family life, and they will be deeply missed.
Her family will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, her love, her faith, and the special way she made each of them feel. While they will miss her dearly, they find comfort in knowing that Pamela is now resting peacefully in Heaven, reunited with the loved ones who went before her, and no longer burdened by dementia.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Avenue, Schofield. Visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Private family burial will follow on October 13, 2026 at West Spencer Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Meadows and Compassus Hospice for their care and dedication to Pamela while she was in their care.
