Obituary

Paulette was born December 8, 1952 in Wausau, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Verhoven; her parents, Leroy and Audrey Engman; her sisters, Patti Swemke and Sue Mijal; and several brothers-in-law.

She is survived by her son Todd Verhoven(Sylvia) Kingston Springs TN, her four grandchildren, Novia, Chloe, Donald and Audrey, as well as her brother, sisters and a lot of nieces and nephews.

Paulette's pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved their visits, trips, and video calls. She especially loved watching Via and Chloe play softball. Between game days, going to the YMCA, Pickleball, and lunches, Paulette had a great group of friends that she spent a lot of time with.

Paulette was retired but was very proud of her career before retirement. She had a great career working at Lignotech/Borregaard in Rothschild, WI, for 41 years.

Although her Illness came on fast and unexpectedly, she was incredibly positive until the last days. She had so many visitors in her final month, and her house was filled with stories and laughter. She had one rule: laugh and be positive or go sit in the garage.

The family would like to thank Aspirus Hospice and The Hospice House for their care.
