Obituary

Phyllis J. Procknow, 75, of Wausau, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1943, Wausau, to the late Gustav and Hilda (Bauman) Dallman. She was a 1961 graduate of Marathon High School. She met the love of her life, Donald Procknow, in 1961, and they were married on June 22, 1963, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rib Falls. Phyllis had worked at Fromm Brothers Ginseng, Fiskars Manufacturing, K-Mart and Trigs. Her hobbies included crocheting, playing cards (especially sheepshead), listening to Sunday Morning Polkas, making potato salad, reading Harlequin Romance novels, playing games, collecting Fenton Figurines, Tie Blankets, watching her Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers Football, watching racing, taking walks with Peanut, and especially spending time with her family. Phyllis' favorite foods included haddock fish frys, Bar-B-Q, chili and pepperoni Pizza from Pizza Hut. She is survived by her husband, Donald Procknow; son, Robin (Rose) Procknow; daughter, Debra (Christopher) Tuft; grandchildren, Derek Procknow, Amanda Normand, Andrew (Natalie) Normand and Dylan Tuft; her fur babies, Peanut and Oreo; brothers, Larry Dallman, Dennis (Karen) Dallman and Harley (Patti) Dallman; brothers-in-law, Robert "Bobby" (Liz) Procknow and Earl Procknow; and sister-in-law, Sandy (Doyle Jr.) Klade. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister, Mercedes Dallman; and sister-in-law, Darlene Dallman. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church (2822 N. 6th St. in Wausau). Pastor Jeffrey Mahnke will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Rib Falls. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. The John J.
