Reginald "Reggie"Hromek passed away suddenly on February 15, 2021 at the age of 80 in the arms of his wife Nancy. He was born on August 14, 1940, to Andrew and Elizabeth (Betty Klinger) Hromek, in Milwaukee, the 2nd of 3 children. He graduated from Mesmer High School and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point later in life. He served his country in the US Army Reserves. On September 16, 1961 he married the love of his life, Nancy (Wurster) whom he first met as neighbors. Mutual friends brought them together after high school and they dated for 3 years before getting married. Reggie and Nancy were blessed with 3 wonderful children:  Vickie Vehrs, Jill Hromek and Tim (Heidi) Hromek along with 7 grandchildren: Bria (Josh) Newton, Eric (Paula) Olson, Erin (Jace Klemm, fiancé), Ivy Tiry, Mackenzie Drengler, Alex Hromek and Maddi Hromek; and one great granddaughter, Harper Newton. He is also survived by his beloved brother, David (Mary Jane) Hromek, West Bend. Reggie held many positions during his working years. His motto was:  Once you are satisfied you'll never go any farther! He was an assembler at American Motors, a Deputy Sheriff for Milwaukee County, he did welding, supervised the Maintenance Department at Marshfield Clinic, ran his own business doing building and remodeling. He built a year round cottage for his family near Crivitz, WI. He loved camping and fishing which led them to travel south for the winters from 2007 till 2020 when the Covid pandemic sent them home early. Preceding him in death are his father, Andrew Hromek and his beloved sister, Shirley Hromek.  His mother, Betty Hromek, followed his passing on April 29, 2021 at the age of 105. On the anniversary of his birth, August 14, 2021, there will be a Celebration of Reggie's Life from noon to 6:00 pm at the Lake DuBay Lions Club Park, 1640 CR DB, Knowlton, WI. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
