Obituary

Robert (Bob) Kieth Schultz

November 25, 1941 – September 11, 2025

Robert "Bob" Kieth Schultz, age 83, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025.

Bob was born on November 25, 1941, in Wausau to Walter and Wilma Schultz. He graduated from Wausau High School in 1960. Bob began his working years at Kemp's Service Station and Conner Forest Industries, before starting with Wisconsin Box Company in 1966. Through hard work and dedication, he rose to the position of Plant Manager and remained with the company until his retirement in 2005, when he began kidney dialysis.

Bob met the love of his life, Karen, by chance in 1976 when both filled in as substitutes on a league bowling team. Their shared love of bowling quickly grew into a lasting bond. Bob proposed to Karen during a family Christmas gathering in 1977, and they were married on August 19, 1978. Together, they enjoyed many years of bowling leagues in the winter and golfing in the summer.

Bob had a passion for CB radio, which led him to meet lifelong friends who became part of a close-knit camping group. Many memorable summers were spent camping at North Forest Campgrounds and other destinations. Eventually, Bob and Karen purchased a cabin in Minocqua, where the camping group continued to gather and make cherished memories.

Family was central to Bob's life. He was especially proud to share in his son Kieth's Scouting journey. Bob served as a Den Chief in Cub Scouts and later as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Boy Scouts, joining Kieth on several summers at Tesomas Scout Camp.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen Schultz; his son, Kieth Schultz; and his sisters, Jean Swanson and Nancy Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Wilma Schultz; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Allen and Wayne Swanson.

Bob will be remembered for his dedication to family, his loyalty to friends, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures—whether it was bowling a good game, golfing on a summer afternoon, camping under the stars, or spending time with loved ones.
