Ronald L. Meyer, 59, of Phillips, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the Marshfield Medical Center.  He was born on July 29, 1959, in Joliet, Illinois, to Patricia (Taplin) and Ronald Meyer. He married the love of his life, Susan Hoffman, on Sep. 15, 1984, in Phillips.  Ron was a jokester who was full of life and a passionate story teller. He had a smile bigger than his face & a contagious laugh that could be recognized anywhere. He adored his family and was a very proud grandpa to his four grandchildren. He was a great friend to many and enjoyed his Sunday Fundays with the boys. When he wasn't cheering for the Packers, he was busy playing cards, bocce ball, bags, pool & horseshoes. He was always up for a good night of playing games. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing (that man knew how to fry a fish!). Ron was an all around athlete and coach for wrestling, softball and basketball.  He was a proud serviceman of the US Navy.  Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Tricia and Shannon; sons, Dustin (Amber) and Joshua (Kayla); grandchildren, Adelyn, Ashlyn, Jaylan and Karter; father, Ronald; brother, Kenneth (Lisa); and sisters, Wendy and Tammy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia.  The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date (potentially Spring 2019). Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family.
