She volunteered for the Women's Community, Faith in Action and she also started her Mission Remission Facebook page. This page was created to share her story about her battle with cancer and to create a place of support and love for others who were also fighting.Tonya's greatest joy was her grandchildren and watching them grow. She had great plans for them! Her greatest pleasure in life was making other people laugh, even throughout her battle with cancer. She had the most beautiful smile in the world, one that could melt the coldest of hearts. Tonya's motto was "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful," and she proved that to all of us beyond a doubt. There was not one single circumstance or experience in her life's journey that could keep her down. She always rose right back up, lesson learned and heart filled with even more love and determination to keep moving forward, to keep living her life, to keep loving. Her battle with cancer was no exception to this. She fought with beauty and grace. She used this life experience to find ways to help others, bringing love, light, and laughter to everyone she met. She wanted to make an impact on the world and to leave a legacy. And she did. All of those she met and loved along her life's journey -- WE are her legacy. We are forever changed. As we all continue on our own life's journey we will feel her spirit in our hearts when we choose to let go of anger, let go of our hurts and disappointments, and choose to keep loving...because life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful. The Family will hold a Celebration of  Life Ceremony for Tonya on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
