Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" Bliese was born March 20, 1936 in Wausau, WI the only child of Edward and Violet (Wolf) Bliese who are deceased. She died Oct. 21, 2013 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau; she was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She attended Trinity Parochial and graduated from Wausau High school. After retiring from Wausau Insurance, where she had worked for 37 years, Ginny spent countless hours volunteering, devoting her time to a variety of organizations, including the Grand Theater, Salvation Army, Wausau Kayak/Canoe and currently the Bethesda Thrift Shop where her duties had included managing the store. Ginny's smile, positive attitude, easy going nature, cheerfulness and good heart touched many lives. Her love for children led her to several trips to Jamaica to take toys, crayons, books and clothing to the needy children there. Ginny loved theatre and enjoyed attending shows on Broadway and traveling in the United States and Canada. She is survived by cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday Oct. 27, 2013 at John J. Buettgen Funeral home.
