William "Bill" S. Simonis, 88, died Friday, October 25, 2013, due to complications of CLL (Leukemia). He was born on March 11, 1925 to Aleas and Bertha (Stanislawski) Simonis, in Rosholt. He married Lorraine Kruzicki on May 26, 1951, with whom he enjoyed life together raising seven children. Lorraine passed in 2011. Bill was a very accomplished and well-known drummer, furniture designer, and carpenter. He also had a large variety of interests and hobbies, including: antiques, genseng, and traveling with his family. Bill is survived by: three sons; Barry (Shirley) Simonis, Rosholt; Bill Jr. (Lynette) Simonis, Stevens Point; and Gus (Mary) Simonis, Scandinavia; four daughters; Cynthia Yenter, Waupaca; Cheryle Stoneman, Menasha; Sharon (Steve Jackson) Bradley, Sun City, AZ; and Naomi (Mike) Dallman, Waunakee; one brother; Dennis Simonis, Rosholt; one sister; Melane Zietlow, Rosholt; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Bill's house (3684 Maple Rd., Rosholt) on Saturday, November 2, 2013, from 1:00pm until 5:00pm, where friends and family are welcome to visit and reminisce about the past.
