Obituary

William Clifford Duberstein, 92, of Kronenwetter, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2026.

William was born on August 1, 1934, to the late John and Hazel (Williams) Duberstein.

He is survived by his loving children: Robin (LouAnn) Vercimak, Karen (Joe) Bittner, and Tammi (Shannon) Glatczak; his grandchildren, Brad, Josh, Derek, Brooke, Kurt, Jessica, Danika, Ryan, and Justin; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Julius Duberstein, and his sister, Carol Jean (Dale) Hintze.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol (Damrow) Duberstein; his parents; and many siblings.

William enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors, especially at his favorite spot on Carol Lake. He also found great enjoyment in woodworking and, most importantly, spending time with his family. These simple pleasures and the memories made with those he loved will be cherished by all who knew him.

William proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Lebanon Crisis in the mid-1950s. His dedication to serving others continued after his military service, as he was one of the founding members of the Peplin VFW Post 8280.

Funeral services will be held at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 900 Old Highway 51, Mosinee, on Friday, November 13, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, with full military honors.

John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
