Obituary for Dorothy A Kiddoo

Dorothy “Dot” Ann Kiddoo (Briggs), age 84 passed away on February 7th, 2018 at the House of Dove in Marshfield, Wi.  

Dorothy was born March 31, 1933 in Thorp Wisconsin to Raymond and Hannah Briggs.  Dorothy moved with her family and resided in Hayward until her senior year of high school.  Dorothy graduated from Marshfield Senior High in 1951.  In 1959, Dorothy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Clyde Kiddoo in Marshfield.  Clyde and Dorothy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2009. Dorothy worked for Weinbrenner Shoes, cared for many kids in her home, Karau’s IGA and her final retirement career at Figis.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Kevin Kiddoo of Madison, Jane Kiddoo of Willis, Texas ,  Dr Sandra Kiddoo of Marshfield; her grandchildren Rheannon Kiddoo of Madison, Austin (Amanda) Kiddoo of Madison, Josh Becker of Marshfield, Leanna Becker of Stevens Point, Jeremy Becker of Marshfield, Mikaela Schmit of Marshfield, and Vanessa Schmit of Marshfield; her great grandson Logan Kiddoo, Sister Vieva Henkel and Brothers Larry Briggs and Bob Briggs.  Dorothy is predeceased in death by her parents, husband Clyde, great grandson Aaron, sisters Bernice, Rae, Pearl and Birdena and brothers William, Harvey and Sonny.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held for Dorothy on Saturday February 10th at 11:30 am at St Paul’s Church of Christ, 1310 E Eighth, Marshfield, WI with Pastor Patti Steevens officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 am until the service.

Dorothy loved to spend time with her family.  Dorothy was an amazing cook, loved to bake and try new recipes.  Dorothy dedicated her life to helping others. Dorothy was an active member of St Paul’s United Church of Christ and the VFW.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in Dorothy‘s name to St Paul’s United Church of Christ or House of Dove.
