General Price List

The services listed below are all of the services currently offered by John J. Buettgen Funeral Home. Keep in mind that this is only a guideline for services and that special requests can be honored. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

 

Services of Funeral Director and Staff

$3025.00

Includes: Twenty-four hour staff accessibility; general administrative expenses; arrangements conference; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details with those involved in the funeral service; securing, preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations, and consents; clerical and record keeping. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. This fee is already included in our charges for immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.

Embalming

$825.00

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want to embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Other Preparation of the Body

Preparation of the deceased for viewing and service.

Viewing at Funeral Home or at another location

$575.00

Visitation by family and friends at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, church or facility of family choice, one day service. 2nd additional day extra $500.00

Funeral Ceremony at the Funeral Home or Staff Services at another location

$575.00

Funeral service may be held at John J. Buettgen Funereal Home, church or facility of family choice, one day service. 2nd day extra $500.00

Graveside Committal Service (Equipment and Staff)

$320.00

Transportation of the deceased to the grave side for committal service and burial.

Memorial Service (Separate)

$995.00

Ceremony without the remains present.

Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home

$695.00

Pickup of deceased and transfer to John J. Buettgen Funeral Home for service preparation

Utility and/or Flower Vehicle

$180.00

Vehicle used for general utilities associated with the funeral process.

Alternative Vehicle

$180.00

Vehicle available to be used for family members and Pall Bearers at families' request.

Hearse

$425.00

Vehicle specifically used to transport deceased to church and service location and/or cemetery.

Memorial Folders/ Prayer Cards (up to 150)

$225.00

In memory of deceased folders/ prayer cards provided for family and guests at time of visitation and service. Additional available upon request.

Visitors Register

$60.00

Guest registry book provided to the family for guests to sign and write condolences.

Caskets

$1,200 - $9,990

Choose from a variety of wood and metal caskets. Final casket decisions will be made at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home. (A complete price list will be provided at the funeral home.)

Outer Burial Containers (Vaults)

$1,395- $9,900

Choose from a variety of high quality vaults. Final vault decisions will be made at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home. (A complete price list will be provided at the funeral home.)

Receiving Remains from another Funeral Home

$3,145

This charge includes: 24 hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; other preparations of the body; transfer of remains; local transportation of the deceased to the final place of burial; and use of staff and equipment for graveside services.

Forwarding of Remains from another Funeral Home

$3,145

This charge includes: 24 hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; embalming; other preparation of the body; transfer of remains.

Immediate Burials (Green Funerals; non-embalmed)

$2,845 - $12,825

This charge includes: 24 hour accessibility; general and administrative expenses; arrangements conference; planning, supervising, and coordinating service details; securing, preparing, and filing necessary documents; clerical and record keeping; other preparation of the body; transfer of remains; use of staff and equipment for graveside services.

Removal of Body
