Obituary for Sandra L Szymanski

Sandra Lynn Szymanski (Juhlke), 71, of Schofield, passed away on February 4, 2018 in Wausau, Wisconsin.  Sandra was born on November 28, 1946 in Wausau, Wisconsin, and is the beloved daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Woller) Juhlke, and mother to Brad (Danille) Hildebrandt, New Richmond, and Amy (Zhirik) Barseghian, Ladera Ranch, California. On March 16, 1989, she married Wayne Szymanski in a beach wedding in Daytona Beach. Wayne and Sandra enjoyed 20 years together dancing, loving music, traveling, and gathering with friends and family. They were very active in Marathon Fun Days as well before Wayne passed away.  Sandra thoroughly enjoyed her work at Marshfield Clinic for over 30 years. Sandra’s innate love for caring for others and making them happy brought her much happiness both in work and her personal life. More than anything, Sandra enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always willing to travel to watch her grandchildren in their school and sports activities.  Throughout the last decade, Sandra nurtured a passion for traveling and discovering new experiences in life. She traveled frequently with friends, enjoying cruises and international travel. Sandra thrived during her trips to California, Alaska, Europe, and the Panama Canal, and had travel plans into the next few years. Regardless of where she visited, Sandra's home roots remained strong, she found fulfillment offering help and comfort for anyone that needed her.

Survivors include her son, Brad (Danille) Hildebrandt, New Richmond, her daughter, Amy (Zhirik) Barseghian, Ladera Ranch, California, and her step son, Clint Szymanski. Sandra is also survived by her grandchildren, Lauren and Derek Hildebrandt and Calvin and Ava Barseghian, her father, Lloyd Juhlke, Schofield, her sisters, Nancy Juhlke, Schofield, Bonnie Hart, Maryland, and Karen Hubbard, Arizona.
